OpenSourceTown (under development) is a new funding model for open-source software development. http://opensourcetown.com will provide a way for contributors to a project to rate each other in order to fairly distribute credit or profits that result from the project. This way, strangers can submit unsolicited patches and be confident that they will receive a fair share of the profits.
OpenSourceTown itself is an open project using its own system, so once we get started, why not submit a patch? If we accept the patch, you'll become one of our community of developers, which means that you'll share in any profits that we make.
The website for OpenSourceTown hasn't been setup yet.
